The repressed secretary has had a whirlwind of a week. Starting with last Thursday February 24th, I was invited by friend Clark Humphrey of www.miscmedia.com to a 60's cocktail culture party with a twist. All I knew ahead of time was to "Come dressed up." The shin-dig took place at "The Blue Flamingo, amateur bar and home of Russell Scheidelman , whom I later found out was ex-Combutible Edison and the creator of an amusing little magazine called Organs and Bongos, which he gave to me as a gift. The next morning, as I was trying to recover, I read the piece straight through, I loved the "fake ads" for products like the ads for various vinyl albums that presumably someone should make, but never has..Need examples. The party was staffed by a professional photographer named George Vernon, two cute DJ's who were sisters and a bartender, serving an incredible variety of drinks from behind a miniature bar.
