progress

I decided to start this process of remedial documentation of my personal processes and progress for several key reasons.  Need mechanism to track what I've been doing with my time, what works and what does not.  Feel the need to write to rebuild language facility, memory, retention and to combat unemployment-related depression.

My personal productivity today was as follows...and this is how productive I should be everyday.  Woke early 6am before construction crew was to arrive to work on building-wide project.  Was dressed and working by 7:30.  Spent morning searching for and applying for jobs.  Did some outreach to recruiters, old contacts and requested informational interview with someone doing my target job of Media Producer at Expedia.  Have social meeting scheduled for this afternoon in Seattle and informational interview scheduled for Thursday morning.

Prioritized rest of afternoon finalizing, printing and sending response required for Unemployment Claim.  This involved: attempt to print out at home failed due to lack of (expensive) printer ink, bike ride to downtown library to use public printers.  Bike ride to Kinkos to check cost of faxing 12 pages (approximately $22.00).

Elected to come home and mail required papers normal US Postal and pray my papers don't get misplaced by UE agency so that I don't have to repeat above.  Bike ride to transit center to purchase Metro/Orca pass which of course they no longer sell there.  Passes now only available at various retail outlets (see list).  Bike ride to retail outlet on list in hopes of purchasing a small set of tickets with my remaining $12.00.  Smallest booklet denomination is $15.00.  Making very slow progress getting stronger on bike to ride faster and longer distances.  This is very hard after being "an office weenie" for the past 10 years and driving a car more often than walking for the past 3.  That's what I get for becoming a "car person."  Totally understandable since the traffic here is brutal to ride in as a bicyclist and the winters are long, cold and wet.

Will update later on outcome of social.
